An automobile or truck accident can put you in a world of hurt. The physical impact of the accident could be severe enough to keep you in the hospital for quite some time. You eventually get back home only to discover that you now have solicitations from personal injury lawyers all across your state.

They work fast in finding out about accidents because they want to get business. You will have fliers, letters and even magnets that advertise their services to you. Each and every one wants to be the lawyer to represent your accident claim.

You are sore and ready to put the accident behind you but you should wait on throwing out all those mailers from personal injury lawyers. That auto accident may have far lasting consequences on your body and wallet then you initially thought. The bruises will heal but what if there is permanent damage that limits your ability to perform work tasks? You may find that you do need personal injury litigation.

There are times when an injury may take days or weeks to begin to affect your health and performance. There is little doubt that there will be sore muscles and bruising after an accident but what if the soreness does not leave and it begins to affect your ability to perform your job.

You have to take time off from work and before long you are out of sick days but still unable to work. A personal injury attorney knows that these conditions can arise. He or she can make sure that you are getting the medical attention you need and will make sure that everything is documented.

If the other person was at fault for the accident, then his or her insurance company may want to give you a flat settlement. If your medical bills are more than the settlement amount, you are stuck paying for the rest out of your pocket. That is not even counting the loss of wages due to the time you had to take off from work. Accident attorneys specialize in the laws surrounding personal injury due to negligence or auto accidents.

There is little doubt that all of those mass mailers from personal injury lawyers can be a bit overwhelming. The best advice is to ask around with family and friends. Chances are good that you received a mailer from an attorney that they are familiar with. The best part is most work on a “no win, no fee” basis. All you have to do is set up the appointment to find out where you stand.

Auto body shop did not properly fix my car after my car accident….?

I was in a wreck where a women ran a red light and smashed into my passager side. (actually from back corner panel up to front door). Noone was seriously hurt and my car seemed okay to drive. On the way home after filing the report, etc I noticed a noice coming from the back wheel. A few days later after picking up police report, contacting Ins company I got a lawyer. I told him everything including the noice from the back wheel and that my husband thought the impact may have bent my rim or something, he adviced me to NOT drive the car cause it was UNSAFE.The other party admitted fault at the scene and her insurance co paid to fix my car, when I went to the body shop to get estimate I took the 2 people from the body shop to examine my car while 1 made notes I talked alot to the other one. I told him about the noise in my back wheel, he said “Bring it back up here after you give the estimate to your lawyer and let them fix it they will do a real good job” After my lawyers okay I took the car to the body shop to fix it, after almost 2 weeks they called and said for me to pick it up that evening around 5pm. I did. The body work was great and I was very pleased with the appearence of my car. I went home. The next morning my husband drove it to his moms at 8am and not even 5 miles down the road the axle broke in half and the wheel came flying off my car causing my husband to go off an embankment. The crash was pretty serious he has a MILD concusion, blurred vision and constant headaches. My car is now in WORSE shape than before. The body shop did not even look at the wheel the only thing they touched was the “Physical Apperance” of the vehicle. Should the body shop have to pay to fix my car? Are they at fault?
