Car accident….Should I get a lawyer and try to get some form of compensation?
Ok first I've been in multiple accidents where I wasn't at fault and never sued anyone even when I was hurt all I ever asked for was to have all my expences paid…but this one is started to tick me off a bit, a 16 year ran a red light and smashed my car up in the passenger side (he was sited), I was uninjured but the car is still in the shop (1 month later) I took out a claim through my insurance to get the ball rolling, I still have yet to hear from the other insurance company, ALLSTATE (yes i'm naming names) when I finally got through to someone they said that they can't reach the 16 year for his recorded statement..my car is done tomorrow..but guess what, I can't get it out of the shop since I have a $500. deductible and they will not hand over the keys till it's paid, which Allstate refuses to do because they have no proof that thier insured was at fault. So who do I go after? The idiot that refuses to call in the accident….or his insurance? Because now they got me MAD!
Can a lawyer licensed in New York represent a client in California and Nevada?
This question if for anyone who is familiar with law. I wanted to know if a lawyer that is licensed in the state of New York can be hired to sue someone over money owed for a loan against a person who resides in either California or Nevada?
I read an online article from 2002 that for the State of California, the New York lawyer cannot represent a client in the State of California, but I am not sure if the laws have changed since then. I couldn't find any information regarding whether the NY lawyer can represent someone in the State of Nevada.
I've been on the internet but I can't seem to find an answer. Can anyone help??
