Does Geico car insurance cover rental cars? Or does it JUST cover your car that you have insured w. them?

How do I view New York Police Report Case #32335914?

Car I am considering buying show an accident involving this car and I would like to see what the report says about the amount of damage.

If a car hits you what do you do? My brother got in a car accident when a car hit him and all he got was a first name and that persons phone number? Okay no insurance information, no license plate number no police can someone tell me what is wrong with my brother and i have never been in an accident like that so I mean someone who has had that happen tell me if i am missing something here?

Car accident with pedestrian and I have no insurance…?

My husband never physically added me onto his insurance policy and I was under the impression that since I resided in the same household, I was covered because of that. Apparently, that wasn't so. I struck a pedestrian who, thankfully, had minor injuries and he called our insurance company to file a claim. We only found out the day before the accident that if I was placed on the policy, they (Allstate) would terminate my husband's policy because of a suspension on my license. They do not insure drivers with a suspension for 3 years and he would have to have his policy terminated if I were to be added on. Since the pedestrian has filed a claim, they will add me on and then terminate my husband's policy. Will this happen after all medical claims will be paid for and can we be insured with another company afterward? I would imagine that this is depending on each individual company's policies, but I'm just curious to see if anyone has insight on this. I live in New York, if that's helpful.

Last night I was involved in a car accident when the vehicle in the right lane tried to make a left hand turn and ran into my vehicle. The driver and her boyfriend both admitted that they were at fault at the scene. My front right light cover was smashed and the front quarter panel was dented and scratched.

They offered me 45 dollars at the scene to pay for the damages (like that would even cover the light) and I told them that I would rather have their names and numbers and get the car checked out then tell them what it would cost to fix. I also wrote down their plate number when they weren't looking. We did not file a police report, or contact the insurance agency because I am on a limited license (must be off of the road by 9 PM). It was around 7:50 and by the time the police got there and filed all the reports I would have never made it home by 9 PM so I would have had to call a tow truck to get my car and I would have had to take a cab. I did not have enough money for that.

Today I called their numbers to give them the quotes and the one number was changed. The other number worked, and the girl said she is considering contacting the insurance. I am not sure what to do in this situation. Last time I was in an accident that was not my fault (it was ruled not my fault as well) my insurance still went up and I am still talking to the other driver's insurance agency to get them to pay for the car (it happened 7 months ago).

What should I do?
Did I do something illegal?

I was in an auto accident last month and my case isn't settled yet. I recieved a rental vehicle for a short time, and I was told I have 72 hours before I recieve my settlement to bring the rental back. I brought it back last monday and will not recieve the settlement for another 2 weeks. I am a working mother of 2 children who attend school, w/o a vehicle I cannot get to work or bring them to school and I was also told I have 2 pay for 3 extra days because I was supposed to bring the rental back the friday before. I brought the vehicle back on Monday at 9am and did not have it for a full 3rd day. The insurance company refuses to pay for those days, which leaves me with $92 I have to pay out of my pocket. Since the accident my work schedule has been reduced from 37 hours a week to 12, which cuts my money ALOT. I was also refused for my wage reimbursement for the days I missed after my accident. Does this seem right to do? No lawyer will be hired either because I cannot afford one. Help!

If someone is in an car accident, and they survive, people say thank God, but was it Gods fault?

Gods, fault that the person was in a car accident in the first place.

I got into a car accident last night in Brooklyn on the East bound Belt Parkway. Two cars (a gold Chevy Trailblazer and a black 5series BMW) were trying to merge onto the highway that me and a White Nissan Murano were already on. I am behind the Nissan Murano on the highway and the BMW is behind the Trailblazer waiting to get on to the highway. The BMW decides that he doesn't want to give the right of way to us (the people already on the highway), and cuts everyone off (the trailblazer, the Murano, and my 2001 Nissan Sentra). The Murano stops short and I slam into the back of him. My airbags deployed and my car is totaled. The Murano bumper has a crack in it (nothing major- probably because he had the bumper guard) and he might have some damage underneath his car (nothing visible but you never know). The BMW fled the scene and no one got a license plate number. The trailblazer did not hit anyone but has slight damage caused by the BMW that fled the scene. Yes I tried braking but it didn't slow down enough in time. Everything happened within 10 seconds. I have several questions:

1. Is there any way that I will not be found at fault? Like if an investigation is done and they find out that I had bad brakes?

2. If they launch an investigation and find that my brakes were faulty would that change anything?

3. Does anyone pay for the damage to my car? I only have liability coverage but maybe his insurance? Can I pay for full coverage now so that they will pay for my car?

4. $3500 is what I paid for the car. The car will cost at least $3000 to fix. What should I do with the car if insurance doesn't want to reimburse? I called a couple of junkyards and they told me around $150. I think that is too low-what about you? I also called a charity to see about donating it and they said that I could get a $300-500 tax credit when I file taxes for 2009. I heard bad things about that but only from 2 people so I really don't know. Anyone know anything about that?

5. How much do you think, in percentage, will my insurance go up?

6. If I took the car and tried to do a trade-in, will they give me much for thfor it?

7. Finally, I am in pain. My entire right side of my body hurts, from my neck to my ankle, including my lower back. Can I get a personal injury settlement? The towing people that came to the scene said that I can. I don't know.

Final tidbits of information, I live and the accident took place in Brooklyn, NY. I am a 21 year old female. Car is registered and owned by me, all in my name. I had my license for 23 months, will be 2 years in June. I bought the car from some people that took me to an auction. Car was sold as is from the auction to the dealer that bought the car for me. But I am not sure if it is as is from the dealer to me?? I went to a dealer's auction so I had to have a dealer buy and then buy from that dealer (for people that don't know).

17 year old car accident.?

Ok well i got into an accident yesterday during school hours. I left school with 3 people in my car and i got into an accident. I was given a ticket for violation of provisional liscence (for having 2 extra people in my car) and i got a careless driving ticket. My question what is going to happen to me and what type of fines i am going to get. im an going to court and I am appealing the careless driving ticket. For insurance answers i have the best that you can get from allstate, and i =ve had my liscence for a week and a day. (By the way it wasnt my fault but i got blamed because the other guy knew the police officers B/c he is becoming a cop) Thanks

Alright first of all i have taken it like a man… i have recieved an in school suspension from the school and not complained, and i took the ticket for violation of restricted drivers license. However the careless driving ticket i dont believe that i deserve. Ok so first of all lets establish that while going out from school and coming back my car broke down. The transmission wouldn't engage the gears(its a stick) and the battery was low. However i managed to start the car again and i SAFELY made it back to school. How many people do you know at my age that can do that? However while at school i tried to turn into a drive to do a k turn to turn around and get a parking spot. So heres the accident. Basically i stopped and got ready to turn into the drive way. I saw the other guy coming and he was going 40 in a 25 SCHOOL ZONE. I stopped and decided to wait for him. But when i put the gear into first the car started to shudder like it did before hand, to be continued

like it did before hand and when the gears engaged the car jumped in front of the other guy in his lane. He did have enough time to stop IF he had been going 25 miles per hour but because he was speeding and because of the rain and snow he couldn't stop, and he hit me head on going 35-40. both airbags came out and he totaled my car because he drove a jeep Cherokee and i drove a 1998 jetta gt. So there's the accident luckily because the guy is getting into the police force he is not pressing charges and everyone in my car is ok. My second question is since my parents are cutting off the insurance and they have accident forgiveness and the best plan from allstate what type of surcharge are my parents looking at? Thank you and i know…..I am idiot for leaving school grounds with 3 girls in my car…..and i assure you i have learned my lesson…..I have never been in trouble before so i am really nervous.

I was involed in an accident in upstate new york no one was hit or involed but I left the accident scene?

I hit a guard rail but I left before the cops arrived am I in alot of trouble, and is it criminal or a traffic violation ?

i broke my jaw, fractured my cheekbone, broke my right thumb, the bone on the back of my neck is cracked..because of my broken jaw my mouth is wired shut for 6 weeks, i bit some of my tounge off, i had to get stitches next to my eye and on my hairline they had to put some metal thing for my cheekbone, i also fractured my left shoulder…i just wanted to know cause i don't want them to not give me the money i deserve.

My car registration is suspended until aug. '08 in New York State?

My license and registration were suspended b/c my auto insurance lapsed. I went to the DMV today and picked up my receipt to learn that my registration is suspended until Aug '08. I can get a restricted license on Tuesday but apparently I am not allowed to drive my car. Is there away around this because what is the point of having your license if you don't have a car to drive? I didn't know if anyone knew of some NYS law or something that I could do so I could at least operate my vehicle. Please Help!!!!

In New York State what is the law for car accidents? Can you move car before police arrive? I didn't think you could, but maybe the law, states you can, for whatever reasons.

Question about New York Insurance Liability Guidelines -Auto Accident?

I was wondering where I can find the way to look up the Liability Guidelines for New York State. I was in a car accident that the other girl Failed to yield the right of way (she had stop sign and I didnt) so i want to know according to NYS law, what is the highest percentage of liability they can give me when I was clearly not at fault acording to the police report and wittness statements.

Ok i was dropping someone off next to a fire hydrant. My car was a little out at the front because i was about to pullout but i saw a car coming from behind and i was waiting for him to pass me. All of a sudden, he rams right into my door. Whose fault is it since new york is a no fault state? I'm really sore and really hurt…i went to the hospital right after and this is next to a school so he was going way more than 20 mph. The man who hit me was a car service employee. How do you think insurance will take this? Thanks.
